So, I read a book that kinda kicked some ass and also made me think. It's called Enders Game. Some people I know have read it and they, like me, loved it. I can't imagine anyone with a brain and an imagination not enjoying it. I'm going to give you just a broad overview of the stories premis. It's earth a few hundred years from now. There is a limit on how many children families can have. The global concurrence is 2. Some countries rebel against the limits but the US does not. People who have 3 children usually appear irresponsible, selfish and shameful to their surrounding communities. This whole population bullshit stems from this war we had with some alien species like 60 years ago. We almost lost the war, but we fought them off and since that day we've been preparing for the aliens return. The government has been assembling a military operation large enough to fight our vastly superior and far outnumbering opponents. The search for future military leaders starts young when the government wants only the best of the best. As they should when it's a fight to save the world.
